Last night the cream of digital gathered at the beautiful Ham Yard Hotel to celebrate this year’s BIMA Hot 100. With so much talent and energy it’s always a great room to be in but this year it was particularly special as our CEO Robert Belgrave was honoured in the Innovators and Entrepreneurs category.

The BIMA 100 are chosen from public nominations by a selection panel of industry experts chaired by Lawrence Weber, Managing Partner Innovation at Karmarama and member of the BIMA Executive board with special responsibility for the Hot 100 initiative.

Comments made by BIMA’s Chair Adam Graham in his opening remarks suggests this year saw the greatest number of nominations and most agonising judging process to whittle the list down to 100. From creatives and leaders, makers and strategists and champions and rising stars the BIMA Hot 100 represents the sheer breadth and diversity of talent in the UK digital scene right now.

Robert was recognised for his work over the past 12 months re-pivoting Wirehive to a technology agnostic hosting consultancy while retaining our laser focus on the digital industry and our commitment to act as an agency’s hosting department in terms of quality, responsiveness and human relationships.

We also had further cause to celebrate as many of our amazing agency partners were celebrated in the same list.

Annie Talboys Marketing Director at Greenwood Campbell, Jenny Kitchen MD of Yoyo Design and Tom Keeping MD of Keeping & Co were all honoured as Rising Stars; John Newbold Co-founder of 383, Jonny Tooze MD and Founder of Lab were recognised in the CEOs and Leaders category and Richard Brisley Lead Developer at Sagittarius entered the Hot 100 in the highly contested Devs & Makers category.

In addition to celebrating the Hot 100, BIMA inducted two new members into its illustrious Hall of Fame. SBTV founder Jamal Edwards and CEO of social games giant King, Riccardo Zacconi were welcomed to the fold joining the ranks of Tim Berners Lee, Martha Lane Fox and Stephen Fry.
