New CDN provider: Fastly
We are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with leading CDN provider Fastly.
Fastly’s mission is to redefine content delivery. They have grown rapidly since 2011 picking up some incredible brands such as Twitter, Github and Wired along the way.
Fastly offers a platform based on state-of-the-art technology, innovative design, and dependable partners. They are leading the industry in a number of areas including their ability to purge content in real time, allowing for innovative use cases which would traditionally have been very challenging to deliver.
For example, The Guardian now rely on Fastly to deliver real-time journalism. When major news breaks they rely on Fastly’s instant purge capabilities to remove outdated content from the cache in 150 milliseconds. Get the full story here.
Fastly offers the best response time, level of support and feature set of all the CDNs we’ve worked with. This winning combination gives us confidence to recommend them to support even our most demanding projects, delivering traffic globally, including into traditionally challenging areas such as Asia-Pacific at lightning speed.
In the past 12 months we’ve worked closely with Fastly to deliver a range of demanding projects such as the revolutionary i100 for The Independent. We consider them to be our preferred partner for content delivery and are adding them to our roster alongside Incapsula, Cloudflare and AWS CloudFront.
In addition to a leading feature set, Fastly share our commitment to supporting digital agencies in the UK, and are working with us to help raise the profile of digital agencies in the South of England at the Wirehive 100 and other events throughout the year.
If you would like any further information about how we can help you deploy Fastly or any other content delivery service for a project you’re working on, don’t hesitate to contact us.
